We've always wanted to create a blend that really makes spice the star of the show. A chai that kicks like a mule but is tasty enough to have you coming back for more. So we went right back to square one with this sweet, savoury and oh-so-spicy chai. It's got some of the usual suspects in it of course. But this one hits different. 

It's cinnamon forward, but then sweet. Smooth.. for a while. Then it'll hit you. A flush of warmth from the chilli and the clincher comes at the end. Sichuan peppers provide a unique, mouth-tingly finish which hangs around just long enough for you to reset between sips. Chilli stuff can sometimes be just that…chilli for the sake of chilli. This one has enough complexity and balance to appeal to the faint of heart and the hardcore burn hunter too.

HOME – Add 25grams of chai to a small saucepan. Pour in just enough boiling water to submerge the leaves & allow to steep for 3-4 minutes. Add your milk of choice and brew over a medium heat until you can see steam. Strain into your favourite chai mug & sip away.

NO MILK – Add 25grams of chai to 400ml of 95 degree water and brew for 3-4 minutes. Stream and enjoy.

BARISTA - Whack 25 grams of chai into the bottom of a jug. Add just enough boiling water to submerge the leaves, allow to brew for 3-4 minutes. Add desired milk and steam. Strain into a cup & serve with a grin.


Ingredients: Chai Spice blend (Ginger, Clove, Dates, Fennel Seed, Star Anise, Rapadura Sugar, Sichuan Peppers, Cardamom, Chilli Flakes, Pink Peppercorn), Maple Syrup, Black Tea, Rice Malt Syrup.
